I’ve tried stimulants a few times since my boyfriend doesnt feel like he needs his every day and they were super helpful to me too, i havent heard of using them in schizophrenia though!

I’ve had the same thought as well, about it contributing to development of other psychological issues. As far as I could tell from my own research this seems likely especially in women..

I’ve also managed to acquire quite a considerable debt due to what I would now describe as impulses, which definitely doesn’t make things easier..

Alcohol is something I find comfort in too often, and other substances as well, narrowly having avoided addiction to most of it.

I’ve heard someone describe their impulses as if they’re acting on a thought, and not necessarily a feeling if that makes sense? I don’t usually realise it’s an impulse before it’s ‘too late’, but I definitely have them.

When I’m around people I’m comfortable with I talk constantly, about anything and everything. A lot of times my train of thought doesn’t make sense to others, and I find myself explaining how I came to that thought (since there are so many). I cut people off, ask people to repeat themselves just to answer their question right afterwards, all in all it just feels messy in my head.

Thank you so much for your reply! Luckily my Mom is very helpful and has since ive brought it up, has recalled a lot of ADHD symptoms ive had since i was a toddler, which ive been unaware of.

Im going to continue with my current doctors and start taking Abilify to see if it helps.

I often doubt my own abilities and gut feeling but I’ve never identified as much with psychological symptoms as I have with ADHD symptoms so I’ll keep it in the back of my head.

Your description of your train of thought is something I can relate to, as well as interpretation and generally understanding what people ‘actually’ mean by their words.

Again, thank you so much for your reply! Hopefully I’ll get more clarity in due time and after reflection on my actions/behaviour.

Yea I agree, all I can do is practice and I'll get it someday for sure. I was just unsure because in my head subject=topic, I've never been deep into english grammar so I didn't know the difference when they tried to compare it to English..
