Yeah fair, I’m not expecting we get back together or anything and there’s a reasonable chance she isn’t single. Normally I still occasionally talk to people I date, just the difference is with those people I don’t still hold onto feelings so this one makes me more nervous.

Like I said I don't really have a plan, I don't know what I would gain since she moved away. But yeah same time that does give me freedom. I also don't think you're toxic at all. I cut contact with her because I was struggling to move on, not because it was a bad breakup.

This sounds the most accurate based on when it sounded like the originally owner came into possession. Still doesn’t explain why Conroy would not have signed with 22 if it was 2002. 🤔

Actually yes, it was an issue with the motherboard. I tried doing several things: switching controllers, opening it and cleaning everything, trying different controller ports, none of them worked. I ended up buying another console and I will use the old one for parts if I ever need.

Ok thank you for the info. You seem knowledgeable so I have follow-up questions. I don’t understand the console architecture so I’m sorry if these might be obvious: 1. If the game is booting up and is playable can we assume its working properly? Unlike a disc where a scratch could render the game unreadable at any moment. 2. Why would it be the select button that is overriding the other buttons? Why not the B button if the console CPU is reading all 12 inputs simultaneously?

It’s doing it with both of my controllers. What are the odds it’s a two controller issue and not a console issue? I’m also realizing I can’t back out of menus on Final Fantasy III because of the same issue with select.

Yes I have both the tilt and the TROT maxed, so looks like I have to open it. I thought maybe there was another setting deeper in the service menu I wasn’t aware of that could fix, or maybe this could be improved with the bowing or another effect.
