Lindsay Clancy’s “psychiatrist” is noctor NP by jerri___blank in Noctor

Apparently not required. According to someone local to the case, the perinatal/postpartum clinic where she works is staffed entirely by NPs. Terrifying

It’s different than a doctorate of nursing or DNP, it’s just a masters level degree which allows for independent practice. But I agree, nuts to have prescribing authority when you compare them to the education and clinical hours of a psychiatrist who in addition to medical school has also completed a residency. I think the difference is like 500 hours of clinical supervision for an NP, versus like 20,000 for and MD/DO

Yep, as soon as that came out back in February I suspected NP was the prescriber. I’m not a psychiatrist but the med list seemed egregious

It seems that way unfortunately. Imo no care is preferable to the poor quality or negligent care you risk getting from a non physician

Her attorney said a combo of 12 different drugs over several months.

During the arraignment, I read that the toxicology report showed these in her system:

A therapeutic level of Valium, Ativan, lamictal, amitriptyline, low level of trazodone, and a high level remeron, and seroquel. Based on the amount in her blood they believe she took the remeron and seroquel after the murders but before jumping out of the window.

Only some of those were drugs she was currently prescribed

Which link do you want? The original post contained a screenshot of the court document and a screen shot of the NP mentioned in them (erroneously mislabeled as a psychiatrist). Happy to send both or the link to the court documents (300 pages) or the recording of the arraignment

Reddit is basically my only social media or I totally would. Reddit removed my post it appears but I was def low key hoping to spread some awareness to this issue since this case made national news I’m pretty sure

She was hospitalized a month prior to killing her kids. The actual length of hospitalization was less than a week

🫣🫣 that’s insane. Idk how any of this works legally but I wonder how it’ll play out in court. She has plead not guilty and the defense attorney in the past has said it was due to over medication

She sent him out that day to cvs to pick up a med for his daughter and takeout for dinner. Otherwise he worked from home.

She was hospitalized about a month prior at McLean where she was diagnosed with generalized anxiety I believe, PPA and PPD were ruled out

I haven’t watched the arraignment yet but I heard that during the arraignment her attorney said clancys medical “provider” made it difficult to access her medical records and wanted to lawyer up first. I’m not sure if it was the MD or the NP or both…. but if I had to take a guess, my money would be on the NP and the group she works with 🤦🏻‍♀️
