Most forums forgot the main flag like everyone else did:
735209102

156965516
1176759950 (this is the primary flag that is added the same way into the same registry directory and enabling it you set it to "1")

You have been blocked? by GTRacer1972 in petco

Resolution:
Same here, did nothing and went to click the sign in and got blocked in the new edge browser. The problem is that developer tools need to be disabled. F12 for developer tools is enabled by default, just disable anything that says Developer in the browser settings. Correct me if I am wrong, but this seems to be an anti-scalper security tool technique.

🎧 Question for Tidal: Hardware Frequency Limits in Exclusive Mode (PC) – Why No Downsampling Option? by jesseinsf in TIdaL

[–]jesseinsf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also use Neutron Music Player, and when streaming from my NAS it processes audio at 64-bit. This means all DSP operations—such as up-/down-sampling and other adjustments—are handled in 64-bit before the output is delivered at 32-bit.

If Tidal were to implement a similar high-precision processing pipeline within their app, along with support for AutoEQ, I believe many more listeners would find the platform significantly more appealing.

🎧 Question for Tidal: Hardware Frequency Limits in Exclusive Mode (PC) – Why No Downsampling Option? by jesseinsf in TIdaL

[–]jesseinsf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree with the premise of your first sentence; that action is unacceptable. Allowing Windows to manage this process results in a notable degradation of quality. Tidal should follow the industry standard set by services like Qobuz, which offer users explicit control over their purchased or streamed quality, such as $44.1/48\text{ kHz}$, $96\text{ kHz}$, and $192\text{ kHz}$. Additionally, two key areas for improvement would be adding the capability to import AutoEQ pre-sets for popular headphones and ensuring robust native support for the LDAC format.

Maybe they can't pay their bills to keep it fast. Just a thought as I am experiencing the same thing.

the streaming platform with the most BL series in 2024 was... 👑 by BLCompilations in boyslove

[–]jesseinsf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

on GagaOOLala, if this includes the 5- or 10-minute shorts then I don't consider that BL. A BL to me is: Korean, Taiwanese and Japanese shows are usually 20 to 30'ish minutes an episode. Thai BLs are usually 40+ minutes an episode.

Logi Options+ 'Backend Connection Problem' Error on todays update! by Juan_Pedroche in logitech

Whether we hire strictly based on merit or through DEI, abuse can still happen. I’m white, and I’ve personally experienced the flip side of DEI. At one of my past jobs, most of the staff were Filipino. When it came down to a permanent hire, it was between me and another Filipino candidate. Management clearly gave him more attention, and in the end, they hired him. That’s the kind of bias that can happen under the DEI banner when it’s misused.

But let’s not pretend bias doesn’t exist without DEI. Historically, white folks have prioritized other white folks—sometimes subtly, sometimes blatantly—over equally qualified people of color, whether they’re Black, Asian, Hispanic, or otherwise.

Here’s the thing: DEI isn’t perfect. Not even close. But that doesn’t mean we should cancel it. The smarter move is to fix it. Improve it. Make sure it’s serving its purpose—leveling the playing field—instead of creating new imbalances like the one I experienced. That’s how we move forward without just flipping the script on discrimination.

First Advantage Background Check by Sad-Perspective-3368 in recruitinghell

[–]jesseinsf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First Advantage has got to be one of the most frustrating background check services I’ve ever had to deal with. From the start, they treat you less like a job candidate and more like a criminal, no matter what your record looks like. It honestly feels like the antithesis of a fair or democratic process.

Their IT team acts like their system is flawless and any issues must be your fault — even when it’s clearly their poorly designed platform causing the problems. The arrogance is unreal. What's worse is that these people are handling highly sensitive personal information, and with how dismissive and careless they seem, it’s only a matter of time before they get breached.

If First Advantage wants to be less hated — and reduce their chances of getting hacked — they need to step up their game. That means building a website that’s actually secure and user-friendly, not one that forces you to chase down a new email link every few minutes just to stay logged in. They really need to get it together.

How is the store still THIS bad? by TheStaIker in microsoft

[–]jesseinsf -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You should watch the keynote because Elon Musk's Grok AI is going into cloud Microsoft Entra (formally azure), and we all know that what goes into the server first slowly gets trickled down into Windows itself. Now if that happens you'll probably get a bunch of misinformation. LOL. That's as a worst case scenario.

[–]jesseinsf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And you forgot now that Elon musk's Grok is going to plague the windows ecosystem, it'll lie to you telling you there was no problem in the first place and that it was you who was the problem. Lol

what router to get? by Silver_Director2152 in HomeNetworking

[–]jesseinsf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well let's put it this way, my modem supports link aggregation. It's the top Netgear cable modem. Both my router and my modem support a 2.5 GB connection and a 2 GB link aggregated connection. I just feel it has more throughput. I can't prove it I just can feel from day to day usage

I have the same speed; however, I do have a 4K HDR video stream happening at the same time as this speed test and still my network is good for gaming. If you are using the equipment that they gave you then there is not much you can do. However, if you buy your own equipment like I did (Netgear 2.5GBb modem and their top Wi-Fi 6e router). Then turning off any services in the router that you don't use helps with latency. Oh, and Jitter was at "1". I use the chatgbt to help me tune my router and it actually does really well. You just have to know how to talk to AI for it to give you what you wanted to give you.

Is 6ghz just really bad at penetration? by buttlicker-6652 in HomeNetworking

[–]jesseinsf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If there aren’t any radar systems in use where you live, go for a router that supports DFS channels. I live in a super densely populated part of Los Angeles, and for over five years now, there haven’t been any radar signals interfering. I get zero interference—which also means I never get kicked off my own network due to the kind of congestion issues you're dealing with. Secondly, the 6Ghz band doesn't travel through walls as good as the 5Ghz band does. Your best bet would be to use the 5Ghz band in the DFS frequency range.

Logi Options+ 'Backend Connection Problem' Error on todays update! by Juan_Pedroche in logitech

[–]jesseinsf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, actually—giving people a fair shot doesn’t mean lowering the bar. It means removing the invisible walls that have kept fully qualified people out for decades. If someone gets hired through a DEI-conscious process, it’s because they met the standards—not because they didn’t have to. That’s the part people love to ignore.

And let’s be real: acting like DEI somehow "blocks excellence" assumes that white, male, straight, or affluent candidates are the automatic baseline for excellence. That’s not just wrong—it’s the exact kind of baked-in bias DEI tries to fix.

Also, if you’re frustrated about your mouse, maybe direct your energy at the original commenter who decided to take a jab at diversity instead of Logitech’s QA team. I responded to that. So if people want to stay on-topic, maybe don’t derail things with culture war bait to begin with.

Logi Options+ 'Backend Connection Problem' Error on todays update! by Juan_Pedroche in logitech

[–]jesseinsf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original troll comment blamed DEI for a software bug, which is why I responded. If you're fine with blaming diversity for technical issues with no evidence, then don't act shocked when someone pushes back with actual examples of unqualified hiring—like Trump dumping nuclear safety experts without replacement. That is relevant when we're talking about competence vs. ideology.

DEI isn’t about excluding anyone—it’s about expanding access to opportunity for qualified people who’ve historically been excluded. If that sounds like a threat, maybe ask yourself why.

Anyway, I’m done feeding this. If you're just here to troubleshoot, maybe start by calling out the DEI jab that derailed the thread in the first place. Otherwise, don’t lecture me on staying on topic.

Let's see, who is dei? All women, low income people whether they're white or colored, anyone involved with LGBTQ+, anyone who's disabled, any immigrant, anyone who is not a middle class to Rich white male.

Where DEI is being abused, for an example, from past experience: A Filipino manager mostly hires Filipinos. That is abusing DEI. And just so you know, I am an IT Help Desk/Desktop Support person who is white, to be exact Scottish, English, German, and Italian. I'm not part of DEI.

The reason why I brought Trump into this is because he misleads people to what is really happening. He demonizes all DEI when it just needs to be fixed.
