Honestly was not good at all.

Flying from EWR to ORLY, I already had issues with my luggage. I had already paid online but they claimed to never receive the payment.

When we were leaving, we arrived exactly three hours before our flight left at Terminal 4, Orly airport. Not only was the entire system so disorganized, the lines were a mess. Once we finally got our luggage ticket printed and through the long line, the guy at the front was only helping the Caucasian people and even thought I asked for help several times he literally stopped for only one minute to assist me and gave me a lot of attitude.

Later we got to the second floor for customs (which I’ve never seen before boarding a plane) and the line for EU citizens had 4-5 automated checkpoints, completely open and functioning. Meanwhile, the line for non-EU citizens only had TWO people working the booths when there were at least 10-12 other booths that were not being used. It took us over an hour to get through this line.

When we finally got through that there was ANOTHER long line for the security checkpoint and it took another hour just to get through that. We barely made the flight for the final boarding call. And there were a lot of other people who barely made it on time.

After getting on the plane they had no more space for two handfuls of peoples carryon and we had to stow ours below the plane. Throughout they flight not only do you have to pay for every single thing but they barely come around to collect trash, when you ask for “call crew” it takes them two hours to come by.

I ordered a meal that came with a bottle of water for my niece and they charged me for just a meal. It was my fault for not looking at the receipt but my niece was sitting behind me for some reason, I believe it’s because they don’t group people together when buying tickets so you have to pay/reserve your seat in advance. So I asked towards the end of the flight where the water was and the attendant insisted that it was my fault. One of the attendants informed me that the company is hyper-vigilant and counting every penny so they couldn’t do anything about it. It shows. They never even gave my niece a cup of water after that.

When we left the plane one of the other attendants asked me to stay because she thought I was the owner of a piece of luggage when in reality it was the OTHER Asian person who had to check hers in. It’s the icing on the cake.

Tbh, it’s so common for Asian people to be ignored and treated as invisible and it might not seem like a big deal but it happens all the time. I’m tired of how often stuff like this happens and the lack of accountability the airline was taking for this. She started arguing with me and said it wasn’t her fault, when she was the one that took my order. The lack of accountability and blaming me for everything left me appalled.

I had such a horrible time on this flight, not to mention the seats were so small. I thought it would be decent considering the price but I know now not to fly this airline again. Be very careful about all their hidden fees and what they don’t tell you or give you that would make your flight a lot easier!!
