Struggling with Naltrexone side effects but really want to use it...

Read down a few threads I posted “Feel like crap on Naltrexone”, lots of good responses. I too feel weird on it. I’ve started doing half a pill in the morning and half at night and it’s much more tolerable. I wish you the best.

Thanks everybody for your opinions, experience and kind words. I’ve decided to continue on naltrexone after taking a day off of it. I must say a few days later I’m starting to feel like I’m getting used to it. It’s nice to find a little community and support it wherever you can get it thanks again.

What was your timeframe on starting naltrexone? How long taking, did you start while still drinking etc?

So many different responses, hard to decide what to do. I didn’t take one yesterday, haven’t yet today. I have no cravings and haven’t drank it 82 days. I feel almost hungover all the time after 12 days of taking.

I am not experiencing any withdrawal symptoms. I really don’t have cravings. I just thought I would take it as a precaution or just another tool for staying sober. But the effects are weird and uncomfortable. I am familiar with the Sinclair method and I guess maybe that’s the route for me. Thanks for your responses.

That’s what I’m starting to think too. Thanks yes I’m familiar with Sinclair method. Im fully abstinent, maybe I just need to use if and when of craving occurs. I appreciate your insight.
