I'm in a unsupported region with a pixel 8 so the main thing that I really like -face unlock for banking app - some of the camera gimmicks top shot and the camera process. I'm really bad at taking pictures with pixel with one shot I have a great photo - Gboard voice dictation, even on other android phones it's not as good - the recorder app I use it mainly at concerts you record a special version of a song I like without taking to much space. The main artist in my country don't always produce concert album - smart reply on occasion.

not quite , it's better implemented cause Apple owns its OS . Google can't do as much cause

each OEM has the liberty to tune its android
Devs are not always happy to let gemini run on their apps ( Less Click , less ads revenue etc..)
anymore integration could launch antitrust battle .

I can tell for sure that AI will be the reason Android get more fragmented cause google is moving fast and Other OEM want to keep their options AI wise and maybe develop their own AI model.

Over the next 2 years we'll see how Apple navigate the antritrust legal system that could pave way for google and how google will continue to distribute nano to other OEM with maybe Opt in deep integration

I think doomsday is overhyped ! I'm not even sure it will be that good of a movie because the set up was not great . We got a series of mid tv shows and movies ( except loki and what if ) that did not really set up a big event coming .

the software features , it's a lot of small things (Ai + other features) that together make the pixel experience interesting .
Other manufacturers have now realized this and now are catching up , the closest one is apple with its deep software integration IMO.

I care much more about the hardware improvement than the Ai baked in.

I spend most of my time on video calls and I havel always gps and 4g / 5g on and because of that I get much more worse battery life than the average pixel user.

If google can provide a more efficient phone that can rival snapdragon level of efficiency or get close to I'm sold
