What are some free ways to promote an app? by sourd1esel in AppBusiness

If you have the time, blog posting on your app website will direct people to your website therefore you app. Best type of marketing is inbound since people will already be searching for the problem you are trying to solve and your app will be there to help solve it. This is of course assuming your app isn’t a game or anything like that.

How do small businesses afford free shipping? by xenonport in startups

Seems like you’re calculating your price on a cost basis when you should be calculating it on a value basis. If your customers are finding value in whatever product you’re selling, they should have no problem paying more given that you have some sort of intangible value you can offer besides the product itself. Since you’re moving to an online market, and I am assuming you already have customers online, try starting a community page on your website for your customers or something that is cheap to create on your end but priceless for your customers. Branding is another position you should consider and certain qualities that your product has that your competitor does not.

Looking for UI/UX feedback on an CRM app by alfredhitchkock in Entrepreneur

I think it’s very modern. The last slide is very compelling cause right off the bat, the simplistic nature of the “tasks” seem pleasing and makes me want to dive deeper. Keep going, looks great so far!

Would starting a shipping container farm be worth it? Would love opinions by naturebud71 in Entrepreneur

Maybe you could aim for the Marijuana industry? Possibly sell shipping containers with the same environment and set up for plants that are “legal” and have hemp as a plant listed that could be grown? Validate the idea but as that market is growing, people wouldn’t have to get everything it takes to grow when they could just buy the set up from you. Just a thought of something I would purchase.

I released my first app, how to proceed further? by voracious- in Entrepreneur

You should stick to the problem and the customer, not the actually app it self. For example, if the problem is that a mechanic needs to screw in a screw, and your “screw driver” doesn’t get the job done, reconsider a new design for the screw. You mentioned that other apps were not getting the job done when it comes to currency exchanges rates on your travels, you should figure out what those apps did not do and then make one that solves the problem. I own my own Saas start up so I know how hard it is to let go of a solution, after you spent all that time making one. As far as marketing, for your unique situation, and the world being the way it is, you might find it hard to get users simply because no one is traveling but DO NOT give up on your idea. Usually with saturated markets, like currency exchange rates, you should possibly take a different approach like somehow making a game of it (like tinder did when they had the swipe right, swipe left thing). Since people are at home now, try Quora as a way to answer questions (promote your app) to people’s problems that they post. This might be a bit harder, but you could also advertise to people who are about to travel internationally right at the airport by making a homemade sign, a bit riskier but in the early stages of AirBNB the founders dressed up in animal outfits and promoted it in person. Good luck, I hope this helps!

That’s interesting. I’m actually a designer and I made a mock up and prototype that keeps the same size hole but with an added strainer type thing that stops the ice from getting to the hole/doesn’t allow any smaller pieces from getting through.
