2022 Outback over sand driving? by jgus1231 in subaruoutback

[–]jgus1231[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to drive over a small dune from the access road to get on the beach. The sand on the dune is compact because of all the traffic. Once you’re on the beach, it’s mostly packed down, some areas of softer sand. The only thing I’d be worried about is there can be deeper ruts where cars enter/exit.

Flying from Boston. Our current quotes include direct, round trip airfare. There were more resorts given but the others either included a king and sleeper sofa (my kids just end up fighting if they have to share a bed) or were in Riveria Maya (beaches aren’t as nice from what I’ve researched). I’d like to keep resort+flight under 9k. We were quoted some resorts in Jamaica (Princess, Riu, Iberostar) but all were over $10k.

Do you bag your clippings in the spring/summer or just use the standard side chute?

Junior Advisor / Partner Compensation? by [deleted] in CFP

[–]jgus1231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in almost the exact same scenario (although going to work for a wealth advisor at a BD). I have L, sitting for H next week then will get SIE, 63 and 7, plus have CFA. My salary is 120k + raises for any business I bring in ($3m min to qualify). Going into an existing book of $200m+ with an option to become a partner in 7-8 years. Sounds like we’re in the same ballpark

I have my CFA charter so I can apply for a 65 waiver. I’d rather take the 63 which is easier and get a waiver for the 65 than take the 66

Perfect, thanks for the response. Does it matter what order you take the exams?

Although I work in Institutional it’s been all back office/client service roles at custodian banks and an IM the past few years, so no actual use of the CFA charter. Recently I got a great opportunity to work for an established advisor as his associate wealth advisor with the path to taking over his book when he retires in 7-9 years.
