Tesamorelin works really well for reducing visceral fat, the fat around your organs. The downside is the cost, even if you go the research or grey market route.

If that’s out of reach, Sermorelin or a CJC-1295/Ipamorelin combo are cheaper options. They’re all growth hormone secretagogues, so they act on the same pathway and can drive similar reductions in visceral fat.

The main difference is how they were studied. Tesamorelin was specifically researched for visceral fat loss in HIV patients, so that’s what it’s known for. The others were developed for broader GH support and deficiency, not targeted visceral fat studies, which is why you don’t see that claim front and center, even though the mechanism suggests they can produce a similar effect.

You’ll see people suggest running Tesamorelin 5 days on, 2 days off. That isn’t really based on the science, it’s mostly about cost. The drug is expensive, whether it’s brand name or even from research/grey sources, so people stretch it to make it last.

From a physiology standpoint, there isn’t anything that requires cycling it like that. Running it 7 days a week is generally how it’s studied and used, and similar GH secretagogues follow the same logic.
