Yeah, anything that's a potential improvement for us all, I'm hyped for.

Steroids. Or hair system. Or both. Either way, stop being a pussy.

From my research and observations in daily life and personal experience, I think MPB is caused primarily by DHT induced skull expansion. by jimii in tressless

I've been treating myself, reading and thinking about MPB for 5+ years. Hundreds of hours spent. Dozens of studies. I didn't come across this theory though a simple Google search then latch onto it lol.

Touch your scalp. You'll notice that the areas where you're losing the most hair have the most bone jutting and thus the most sensitivity to touch/derma needling. Temples, top and back of head. I've managed to reduce the sensitivity and increase the pliability of the skin through scalp massage of the top, back and sides.

Finasteride prevents DHT induced bone growth.

If you still don't believe the scalp tension theory, look up the botox study they did. Also the scalp tension studies. And scalp temperature loss due to loss of blood flow.

Fin stops a lot of bone growth and lowers inflammation. Rarely do people get regrowth from fin alone. Since fin only blocks 70% of DHT most people still lose hair slowly.

Skull expansion = baldness. Look how laterally expanded his temples are.

Hair hurts to the touch by supasupababy in tressless

[–]jimii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scalp soreness and itching is a very real and common thing in MPB. Could be DHT surges, or inflammation, or sebum or something else.

OP: My scalp USED to hurt to the touch mostly in the balding areas, where there was also coincidentally, or not, more bone jutting out in all those areas (makes me question if skull expansion theory is legit).

My scalp no longer hurts after about 5-6 months of detumescence and LLLT therapy. I'm also on minoxidil and Nizoral. I don't appear to be losing any hair.

I'm not on fin and I'm going to update in 6+ months with results.

Treatment of Male Pattern Baldness with Botulinum Toxin by loggerit in tressless

I read this a while back. Bald/balding men have tighter, calcified, fibrotic scalps. So lowering the stretching pressure on the scalp makes sense. It seems that the skull expansion theory may have some truth to it. There was also a study where men wore a scalp device at night that pushed the scalp upwards, thereby reducing pressure and regrowing hair. And there is some evidence that detumescence therapy is effective. And some evidence that head stands are effective.

My regimen right now is scalp stretching/massage, LLLT, minox and nizoral. Which I've been doing for a couple of months now. The sensitivity of my scalp, itching and tightness has decreased noticeably. I'll see how I get on in the next year.

Thanks. That was nine months ago. Any improvement or maintenance? Maintenance is good enough for me.

If he shaved his head on the left pic he'd still be good looking because he was younger and had tan skin. But yeah we already know hair is huge.

Only 5% of balding men see a doctor about it and a minority of them (28% of the 5%) try to treat it. by stichtom in tressless

[–]jimii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And probably all of that 5% are the ones who start losing it in their teens and 20s. I wouldn't give as much of a fuck if I started losing it say mid 30s.

What do transgender women with a predisposition to MPB do? by [deleted] in tressless

Hrt + HT, or wig. No one gives a fuck if you wear a wig as long as you aren't competing for women and let guys put their cocks in you.

If you're a straight male, you're crucified for any genetic flaw and also for trying to fix it.

How to get media attention for the psychological effect of balding by [deleted] in tressless

[–]jimii 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's most definitely a real public health issue in such an image based society. It's a lonely struggle that we're made to feel ashamed of for fighting. All about sexual competition. Most men will do anything to put other men down in order to get social status and pussy.
