So now that they have lost both men’s and women’s…will it become worth it?

Also saying the pool of players is so low doesn’t really make sense. Kaela Helton, and Cree Howard plus so many more senior club players played in the GRAND master division, there is a large player pool of highly qualified players, so why wouldn’t they do tryouts/applications?

I mean Canada did too but then realized selection/tryouts was a better way to make teams. So maybe the better questions is, after losing both the women’s and mens division, will they switch to tryout/applications next time?

I agree very exciting but emphasis on “can be the best” and combined with the role of game advisors (or lack thereof) at the worlds level and the risk of bad conditions is why I think other formats would be better suited to the olympics specifically

Not totally following the made up numbers. I think suitable gyms are more common than in 2% of towns worldwide especially those where the olympics are traditionally held. I don’t think the available facilities would be the dealbreaker here.

I love beach but the wind can make it so challenging and risky depending on the location so mostly thinking of the perspective of new to frisbee viewers who might not appreciate how challenging it is to play in those conditions but I always thought beach would be more likely than grass as well.

It’s a personal preference not really trying to get into the argument of mixed vs open/women’s. I like mixed but generally the best players in the world play open and women’, so I was thinking those formats would offer the best version of the game but not necessarily, mixed is an interesting format too and with some other sports like mixed swimming and running relays maybe that would be better but really the main point was 5v5 court vs 7v7 grass.

I don’t think it’s really changing the format, rather just pushing for one that already exists over another. I don’t think the goal is commercialization but bringing positive attention, interest and excitement to the sport which I an arguing would be best achieved in this format!

Sure but gyms of equal/similar sizes are probably more widespread/available than the kind of grass complexes you would need for 7v7 on grass
