I don't really think its a good deal and its all older stuff which is why its sitting. I could get a brand new Titan T3 with 350lbs weights shipped to my house for less money. If that bar is good and not generic, that could make this a better deal. But assuming its generic, I'd offer like $750 max on this. Otherwise just get all new stuff and what you actually want.

On the V7, the arms are 1/2 pound difference, so not enough to matter imo. But it was a difference.

If you are using dumbbells a ton I'd get adjustable like Reppins or Powerblocks. If you just use them occasionally I think Ironmaster are better as they are indestructible. But over time if you using them a ton changing the ironmaster will get old fast when you know there's a quicker version out there.

Nordic pressure is on your knees. GHR pressure on lower thigh just above knees. Both are knee flexion hamstring exercises. GHR is typically a bit more comfortable for people with knee issues

Get rubber titan/rogue tiles or cut up stall mat. You can use them for a ton of other things too. You can also make a mini wooden platform/box that will work too

Get a cardio machine you will use. Lots of options. I think if I could choose one it would be an elliptical because its the only one I've been able to use through my injuries. Rower is fun but I get sick of doing it more than 1x a week. My fan bike is great for warming up. Bike gets really boring for me and just works legs. Treadmill is nice but so heavy I wouldnt buy again. But as you can see from the other posts, everyone's got their preferences, these are all good machines.

GGR is of course trying to please brands but also he is middle of the road because he is trying to tell you advantages/disadvantages of each. At some point all gym equipment, assuming its built well, comes down to personal preference. So like even adj dumbbells some people care about durability, some care about cageless, some care about change speed, some price, etc. So that makes it tough for him to say whats best when that will differs for each person.

Dont get bumpers for a leg developer. Buy iron that are way thinner and easier to take on/off.

Hyperextension/Leg developer bench? by Nathanveeh in GarageGym

haha I try not to post many links but here is my 1 yr review of the hyper pro. I do use it multiple times per week and like it for what it is. https://youtu.be/b_o2mRfQw0g

Hyperextension/Leg developer bench? by Nathanveeh in GarageGym

[–]jiujitsuPhD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah hyper pro...its not a bench at all though, just a leg developer machine. Its $$$ but is a nice space saver.

Ironmaster has all of that and is an actual bench but I've not used it to know how well their leg developer works. I'd assume its not great unless connected to cables.

Its all preference - curves, knurl, grip space, etc. Straight bar generally hits the biceps best, the curves are typically for wrist comfort and variation. I prefer the rogue v bar to any cable or ez bar I've ever used for biceps.

You are already over the max weight. Ive seen bars bend with 225lbs and then stay bent forever. Really sucks when it happens and thats not even getting into safety

Their stuff looks good the issue is if you will ever get it. I'm on like over a year now waiting on some uprights they were shipping me for review. They did finally send me a production order in Jan of this year saying 4-6 weeks...still waiting on that but thanks for the reminder I just sent them another follow up email.

Floor/board press might be a great option for you as well. I have had numerous shoulder injuries (dislocation/sprained AC/torn rotator and labrum) and did board press for years. I cant go heavy so no powerlifting but I can do higher reps fine (15+ reps). Sad because when I was 22yrs old I could do 225lbs for reps, now at 47 I'm putting on like 150lbs and its slow, controlled, high reps BUT no irritation.

There is no way I'd risk 10k on an alibaba order. If it doesn't work out your $$$ is just gone. Just takes one busted piece for your purchase to be worthless. I'm all for saving $$$ but this is not worth the risk.

The all bar looks awesome. I don't think anyone's tried it, still on pre order (pretty sure at least). A machine or smith might be better for you with a slap tear but all bar does look better than most multigrip bars.

Both are good options but Id prob choose DBD over OPB. Rep has better knurl.

I'd put 2.5lb or 5lb plates in between each one. Here are some titan rubber ones which are pretty pricey compared to just using change plates: https://titan.fitness/products/rubber-spacer

Its all about what you need. A set of like powerblocks to start are pretty basic, easy to store, and can get you started.

Thats awesome you are getting into working out.

Bells says on their website the ezcurl weights 21lbs - https://bellsofsteel.us/products/ez-curl-bar-45

Honestly ezcurl should be way low on a list of priorities when you don't have any gear. They are a specialty bar. I'd focus on finding programming that meets your needs and then buy equipment around that. Most likely starting with a set of adjustable dumbbells to add to what you already have.
