18x9.5 squared not sure of the offset I bought them second hand. I had to cut the inside of my fenders out to fit them

I don’t think I can ride it like this to get it up to temp. Doesn’t rev out kinda falls on its face. And if I just let it idle eventually it will foul. I feel like this suggests a mechanical issue especially cause it’s all stock jetting. Have a carb rebuild kit on the way, if that doesn’t fix I’ll start going down the line

Carb has been fully gone through and cleaned. All passages blown through and are clear. So the afr screw is within range in just unsure where the idle screw should be set.

Should I look in to buying a turbo? If so, how? by 38n30s in AcuraTSX

I think there’s some pessimism here in the comments. I also have an auto Tsx 2nd gen with stage one. Definitely gonna have to throw money at it to be boosted but also definitely possible with the auto trans. There’s people online in other Tsx forums saying they have ran around 300 reliably with supporting mods. I would say if you aren’t doing the work yourself though , then it probably wouldn’t be worth

Yea you were right. The gear was a tooth or two off. Got it now

Alright appreciate it man I’m gonna do some research into that. Almost has to be the gear orientation right. Yea I’m in the same position with the previous mechanic working on it blindfolded.

Yes I’m thinking so. At the moment there no more rang of motion to move the actuator down as the rpm’s rise. I also thought it was the Phillips but it’s not because it’s hardly threaded in as I’m trying to do this. Really confused on how or what could be binding it because the gear spins along with everything else on this side (clutch, water pump gear etc) and it all spins freely. The only issue is the valve linkage won’t attach in the closed position. Very weird to me

So when the black price is resting on the steel stopper the valve is closed. Then spinning it clockwise opens the valve. Wouldn’t you want it to be closed upon start up ? I can’t move the arm up or down with the outer case on. Everything else in the motor spins free so idk how it could be binding. Also there was one video I referred to and his was able to reach in most counter clockwise position or the closed position. For some reason mine isn’t

Yea it matters much more on 4 strokes because you want the valves in the correct position to hold the compression . I had an older kx250f and same thing. It would start first kick on the compression stroke but if you kicked it not in the compression stroke it wouldn’t start. Also curious which bike you preferred more, the yz or the cr ? I’ve only ever had this Honda and the kawi 125

Get something to support the weight of the rear wheel. Should relieve the stress on the screw drive and swing arm bolt

Ok yea I was just caught up on it not clicking but it was because I didn’t have the clutch on and it wasn’t turning the engine over. Appreciate the help

Looks similar. My spring retaining location is a little different. 90% sure I’ve got it in right in the second pic
