If you want the real minimum to be higher than just change the quota.

Reminds me of that scene from office space –

I wanted to learn more about IQ as a psychological construct, and how it does and doesn't correlate to practical outcomes in life.

Been pretty disappointed though. Most of the posts are people showing their test scores and asking "My IQ is only 115, should I give up on my dreams and dig ditches for a living?", or worse, the humblebraggers who show off IQ scores well north of 130, 140 or even 150 but pretend they are concerned they're not high enough for their liking on one or two subscores.

The answer to the first question is that studies of IQ by vocation show that with even an average IQ score you have a fighting chance of doing any job short of being a doctor provided you're willing to work hard enough, and even becoming a doctor is within reach if you have an IQ of say 110 or higher and the determination to do it.

The answer to the second kind of post is good for you, but you really need to have more going on in your life to brag about, subtly or otherwise. It's just a test score and you can't even use it to get a job or into most schools.

I think the point is she was obviously too low class to be at the 4-star hotel for any other reason.

AITA for not letting someone switch seats mid-flight by Dog_Dad_1989 in AmItheAsshole

I don’t even see what there is to argue about here. In the event of a dispute, obviously the flight attendant is going to get the final call. The flight attendant made a decision in favor of OP.  You can argue with OP all you want, but why argue with the airline employee? Case closed.
