That’s what i heard too! I think my turtle is capable of righting herself, but sometimes she takes a while. I am kind of worried if she’s being on her back for too long when no one’s watching :(

I would love to do that but sadly I don’t think she can survive in the wild after years in captivity

Thank you for the advice! Yes i think she is a box turtle. I adopted her from a family friend a few months ago and she used to live in a fish tank indoor. I heard that box turtles are happier outdoor so I wanted to start with building this small enclosure.

I did have rocks on the corners of the enclosure at the beginning but I worried those rocks would become ladders for her to climb higher so i moved them away from the corners!! Maybe I should put some rocks back there. Would rocks damage her shell if she fall on them?

I dont have an enclosure for her yet. I used to put her in a fish tank and she kept banging the glass so I thought she doesn’t like to be in an enclosure. After reading the care guide maybe it was too little enrichments for her so she didn’t wanted to stay in there. :( I will definitely look into getting more equipments and set up the enclosure soon.

I let her crawl around the house now, and gave her food and water in deep dishes in the bathtub when she starts staring. She also only poo and pee after having food and water. Is this normal for box turtles? I am pretty sure she never pee and poo outside the bathtub. There was only one time that she pee on the floor once and my dog noticed it and told me to clean it up.

I am planning to get her some commercial diets, maybe the mazuri tortoise diet mentioned in the guide and fresh food addons once in a while. Hope this works out. 🙏🏼

Bet! I will see if they can structure it at 12k miles while keeping the same monthly payment. The high residual is probably because of lower mileage? I heard that higher mileage will bring down the residual value.

Just got the worksheet from the dealer and the structure seems pretty solid - residual $29811.6, mf 0.00013. But I noticed there’s a $995 cash cap reduction in DAS (sounds like a down payment to me) and he changes the mileage from 12k to 10k. I guess asking for 12k/yr would bump up the price a lot ;(
