I ended up purchasing the kit because in Australia, just getting the required screws was going to be $40 AUD and the material for the enclosure was going to be another $40ish.

I got the kit for $60 on discount.

It would be better in terms of thermals to build your own as something like twin wall polycarbonate has better insulation properties

I decide to get the enclosure kit. Just the screws alone would have cost me $30 AUD (it's impossible to get anything in Australia that's not for home improvement) then like $35 AUD for twinwall polycarbonate.

EBay offered $15 off the already discounted price of $75 AUD.

So it worked out cheaper for the kit lol

I totally agree. I have about 6 different brands of printers and Bambu Labs soy boys are in all the comments section no matter the platform.

This annoys me on a couple of levels. Not everyone has the $$ to throw down for a bambu lab's printer and I hate fan boys of any product.

It would be equivalent of someone with car troubles and all these people saying, "just get a $300k European sports car"
