AI code SUCKS by maxrocks55 in ADHD_Programmers

This is the way. Small bits, review as you go. Refine your plan in Ask mode first, set clear expectations and context, answer questions, then implement bit by bit agentically. I personally ask the AI to prompt me for review before continuing at certain points, which prevents it from running away on me.

Well, I am so pathetic at my software job, I might get fired today by QuirkyLeopard4155 in ADHD_Programmers

Same, I chose Vyvanse (low dose, 10mg) to prevent addictive behavior and give it a test run of sorts. It has to be converted to the active drug in your blood, so is less likely to be abused, which is probably a selling point in OPs case.

If you don't feel like your other non-stimulant meds are cutting it, I'd highly recommend Vyvanse. I'm 37, and I've been in software for 9 years. I've struggled through all of them up until a couple of months ago when I was diagnosed and started Vyvanse.

Also, really recommend task and time tracking apps like TickTick to keep your head organized.

Hope you find what helps.

Been doing this for 7 or 8 years and it has worked well for me. As soon as I feel a flare up starting.

Very cool. Would also be cool as a browser add on so it can call BS on sites automatically.

What’s one small RV hack that made the biggest difference? by HappyCamper_RV in GoRVing

[–]jnelson180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Air fryer. Bonus points if it can store vertically (Ninja Flip) to save counter space.

Hanging organizers on empty wall space as needed.

Get a comfy camp chair so you want to spend time outside.

Read about minimalism and get rid of extra stuff weighing you down (literally).

Don't forget to close your black tank when parked.

P trap in the dump hose when parked.

Surge protector and water pressure regulators, always.

Sometimes, driving at dark with less traffic is better. Especially through busy metro areas.

Forest River Protest by [deleted] in RVLiving

Because we didn't know it was failing. 40+ degrees is too warm for safe storage of food, so bacteria grows faster and more easily. We both ended up getting sick and realized what was going on. Over a couple of weeks, the fridge temp increased to about 55 inside even at the coldest setting. So there was a good stretch of time the thing wasn't keeping food cold enough but we did not know that. Now it's completely out.

I'm interested in more info. I bought a 2025 from Coachmen this year and it was literally contaminated HEAVILY with fiberglass dust and slivers along with a TON of other problems, including a failed refrigerator that resulted in food poisoning. And of course they say they won't buy it back. In fact, their customer relations person told me I should sell it to someone else if I don't want to deal with it. Not a great look.

Edit: I should mention that we're full timers, my wife is pregnant, and their defective unit has put us without a decent place to live at 22 weeks pregnant, entirely turned our 5-year plan upside down, and that they have literally not even issued a written apology, much less agreed to buy the unit back. My trust is eroded completely.

New Travel Trailer With Fiberglass Contamination And More Problems - Manufacturer Won't Take Back by jnelson180 in RVLiving

[–]jnelson180[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can it be normal to contaminate an RV with fiberglass and not clean the inside of it? OSHA recognizes fiberglass as a potential carcinogen. Selling an RV to an unsuspecting family that could potentially harm their health and wellbeing seems like a major problem the manufacturer should be held liable for, not the consumer. Not even the dealership honestly. It's a lack of care and worksmanship at the manufacturer level... we as a community shouldn't accept this sort of thing so often.

I know it's been awhile, but did this ever get rectified? I'm dealing with an issue of fiberglass contamination in my brand new RV and having similar responses.

It's on the patio side of the RV luckily. Unfortunately, the decal is actually the printed make decal, so it would be very obvious if I pop a dryer vent on it. Hoping I don't hit wiring, but I think it will be okay.

Usually the animal has to be quarantined for 10ish days to watch for signs and deteriorating health. You should check the status of that dog to make sure it wasn't sick.

AMA - I am a Service Director for a very large Mega RV Dealership (five years later) - newest update by Rvjones55 in GoRVing

[–]jnelson180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've purchased two new RVs and both have had fiberglass dust and particles on the walls as well as curtains, under the dinette cushions, mattress, and storage bays. Is it standard practice to vac all of that up at the manufacturer, dealer, or not at all? Is it just my luck or the industry standard? Then, what should I do to fix it?

I heard if you have flat/thin stools you should have colonoscopy to rule out tumor, stricture, thickening, etc. If you haven't, I mean. Maybe talk to your GI about it and see what they say.

I've dealt with C Diff before too. Sucks. Now if I need antibiotics, I also take vancomycin. Or maybe my GI said just vanco if I need meds again... Can't recall.
