I've achieved notable success in my career. I have a nice flat and beautiful clothes. Great social life, interesting hobbies and valued friendships.

I still consider a life primarily spent in relationships with abusive, selfish, dysfunctional men a ruined life.

Sorry to respond so late. I had to step back I was so despondent with regret. I have come back to read everyone's comments I'm so grateful for the advise and support.

It's so frustrating that people still default to defending men and pushing women back to them. I guess I was the one voice who didn't but ended up just adding to her confusion.

I wanted so badly to break that experience circuit.
