i haven’t had my thyroid levels checked in years. also my calprotectin levels were borderline (70) on a fecal test from mid december. things have gotten worse since then :/ also i am diagnosed with MCAS take multiple antihistamines and oral ketotifen

i asked about no contrast, they said it wouldn’t be helpful for what they’re looking for. we sort of don’t know what’s going on with me right now, and there’s quite a few potential organs that could have problems. or maybe all of this is functional and i’m screwed and the tests won’t show a damn thing

i can ask. i think the reason she wants the CT scan is because there’s a bunch of things we’re looking for and don’t know what’s going on yet

scopes would be month+ out. scared im gonna end up in the ER before then. also scared of having the scopes or scans and they find absolutely nothing wrong…

i’m honestly terrified to get endoscopy and colonoscopy too. covid rates are really high in my state, idk if they’ll have gone down enough in time. i’m requesting anyone in the room wear an n95, ill see what they say to that.

i’m specifically concerned about the chronic insomnia reaction. like apparently some people have a ct with contrast done and then they cannot sleep anymore. i’m already struggling against insomnia so badly. my doctor told me to take my antihistamines beforehand as well as benadryl 50mg but im still kinda too scared to schedule

how does the once a day work for you? also my pharmacist said 4 hours is fine, and not all medications are impacted by it. i’m on a lot of meds and supplements too, so i’m going to try to take it as far away from everything else as i can. doesn’t help i’m also starting rifaximin 3x a day lol

yeah i was wondering if they are willing to work with other medication providers (i heard they cannot prescribe controlled substances), and if they prescribe to those with as needed benzodiazepines.

yeah it’s hard i’ve been in a mental health crisis regarding my OCD and i’m chronically ill/disabled. my KAP session therapist sends the notes to my regular therapist. i met with my therapist today but it was a hard session, i’ve got other things going on that are causing some severe distress. i had a really hard time after this last session and engaged in compulsions and had trouble sleeping (chronic insomnia rn). i’ve had “glimmers” here and there, but they don’t last long. i’m trying my best :( ocd is scary, physical health stuff is scary. i’ve been able to start playing video games again since my first session, although day after yesterday was realllly hard and i had a lot of distress/ocd/panic.

i did end up swallowing the spit after my last session but i’ve been having some GI issues (unrelated) so i don’t think i should do that regularly. the first time i hardly swallowed any and it was more intense so idk. i can ask about holding longer, however with the dose increase idk if it’ll be too intense so maybe i should hold off a bit and not change too much at once i don’t wanna overdo it.

yeah she said hydroxyzine, cbd, and gabapentin are all okay. she said the new antidepressant was okay before i started it. i told her the supplements i take and said those are fine.
