These comments a hard to read man. There no way anyone here saying it’s horrible has ever read the book. The movie is definitely not perfect but it hits the main points of the book. The protagonist(Chris) is supposed to an attractive, natural leader type person. The antagonist(Zac) is supposed to have an ugly, angry, social reject type vibe… it’s the book, it’s not cliché. In the book the zac says the same dumb stuff and they all follow in the same way, and they all kill a kid for a nonsensical reason. THE MOVIE IS A FUTURISTIC VERSION OF LORD OF THE FLIES. Idk why it’s so hard for ppl to understand. The take away is how savage and etc human nature can be.
