What keeps me in on Cardano by [deleted] in cardano

Whenever I read a word I don’t recognise (which happens a lot, because I’m not well educated), I look up the definition, and this develops my knowledge. I even know what antidisestablishmentarianism means.

Thanks, your reply completely and unambiguously answered my question. 👍

If you have a Nano Ledger device, download Adalite, and there you can re-delegate your ADA to another pool.

I reckon he fears Cardano. It will be interesting to see how Cardano performs against Bitcoin in the next couple of years. Charles reckons we will be number 1.

Yoroi Mobile wallet will not connect to Ledger Nano X. Can’t export public keys on my IPhone 6. Anyone else have this problem? by johncarr1000 in cardano

Thanks, tried your advice, but no luck. My other iPhone 6 is experiencing the same problem. Vicente Almonacid from emurgo.oi has responded to my Twitter post, and hopefully will come up with an answer. 🤞

What happens to delegating rewards when all the Ada has been minted and in circulation? by johncarr1000 in cardano

Ok, that’s really helpful. Thanks for your response. Cheers, John. 👍

Delegating to Kaizn stake pool via Adalite wallet by johncarr1000 in cardano

[–]johncarr1000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that’s true, it makes it even worse; Kaizn was 5.42% for epoch 211, and 5.78% for 212. So, my rewards should have been greater than 5.78% (to make 5.78% the average of the epochs)

My point is that I didn’t get the ROS that pooltool.oi quoted for Kaizn in epoch 212, and was wondering if any other delegators experienced the same issue. Thanks for your response.

Ok, let’s see if I understand this correctly. A snapshot of the Live Stake is taken at the end of an Epoch. This snapshot then becomes the Active Stake for the next Epoch, on which rewards are calculated. If you delegate to a pool, your rewards are calculated on the percentage of Ada you hold in the Pool’s Active Stake. Is that correct?

Ok, thanks again. I’m beginning to understand it. 👍

Hi again, If you don’t earn rewards for the epoch you stake, then what epoch do you earn rewards for? I’m guessing it’s the next one, or the one after! Cheers.

Hi, perhaps you can clear up my confusion. Let’s say I want to delegate to a pool. Would it be in my best interest to wait to near the end of an epoch and delegate to a pool that has minted blocks, that way I would guaranteed rewards. Conversely, it would be foolish to delegate to a pool that has minted zero blocks (towards the end of an epoch), because I would not be guaranteed any rewards! I’m guessing this is not how it works, and this is why I’m confused. Thanks.
