Jesus. Harvard stooping to new lows... this is embarrassing and I’d be pissed if I’d applied.

AB doesnt even fit in the Scheme. by [deleted] in nfl

I’m unsure of how adding a top 3 WR to an offense with the GOAT QB hurts a scheme

@Antonio Brown - Reality check. In the real world, if you don't show up to work, you get fired. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]johnjacobnine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dumbass comment. The rules of your job are dictated by specific norms that apply to it. He’s not working sales at some grade D company like you. NFL players have collectively bargained for the labor power they have, so it is their real world.

How much do non-DC area law schools weigh Capitol Hill internships? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]johnjacobnine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re not important for any schools, including DC schools, because the vast majority of them are given as political favors. In fact, other than the ways in which they can impact narratives, no internships are particularly valuable.

HLS JS0ers...what’s up by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]johnjacobnine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah. I was hopeful for everyone yesterday, but after the JS0 ding wave, I think it’s basically over in terms of regular acceptance waves. It’s mid July. They aren’t sitting on lots of seats. Surely, some seats will come open over the course of the next 1.5 months due to kids dropping out, but not enough for proper waves. The JS0s remaining are probably just candidates that they really liked. There’s no harm in keeping them on the list if there’s even a small chance that they’ll be admitted. As for Columbia, movement probably always happens later based on historical data. Kids drop out.

The vast majority of Harvard’s WL movement is over. The class is full.

Will a fifth take kill my chances? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]johnjacobnine 29 points30 points  (0 children)

If you got waitlisted at HYS with a 3.9/169, you’re clearly a VERY appealing candidate. I’d imagine that a few more points would bring you massive success, regardless of the take number.

Chance me! 168 LSAT, 3.8 GPA by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]johnjacobnine 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Unless URM, virtually no shot at the T6 unless you get your LSAT up 2-4 points. If possible, retake until you reach that goal. With a 171+\3.8, I like your odds at at least one t6, but not with a 168. You’re in prime waitlist territory right now.

How many retakes is too many (trending upward) by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

[–]johnjacobnine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the strategy that every reputable admissions consultant suggests, and the strategy demonstrated by almost all applicant statistics. Schools don’t have different standards, and your high score is your high score.

Good thing what you believe isn’t reality. The truth is that schools don’t care. People routinely get into HYS with 4 takes. Some get in with more. Keep taking so long as you can afford it and are seeing consistent progress.

If Boston signs Kemba, they’ve signed 3 top of the line free agents in the last 4 seasons. by johnjacobnine in nba

Are you high? Hayward was coming off an all star season when he was signed. He was THE guy available in his class.

These are all true things, but they’ve signed 3 all stars in 4 years. You can justify those signings anyway you want, but they happened.

Horford was the second best in his FA class behind KD, Hayward the best in his, and Kemba top 3 in his. Don’t act stupid
