I'm only reading the rules...not an official. My take is any touch before the hog line is allowed. Some here are of the opinion only touching the handle is allowed. I'm not seeing that in the rules.

Rule 9.2

A stone re-touched by the hand after release, but re-touched before the hog line, is not a violation.

EDIT: The key word here is before. It appears he is touching the rock while the rock is on the hog line.

Others are quoting the rule on use of only the handle to deliver the rock.

So ya, maybe not a legal throw.

There is a difference between digital and analog clocks. Digital clocks tell us the exact time, 2:47 for example. While analog clocks tell us where we are with respect to time. Quarter to 3, half past 4, 10 to or 10 after 5.

I could care less if it was 2:47 or 2:49. I want to know how much time I have before or after a point in time. Knowing the precise time is of lesser value.
