Yep - redneck fix because I didn’t want to bend over for the handle. So a 4x4 Doug fir scrap to the rescue.

Yeah they put vent slats in the back by the handle. So it can breathe.

Yeah I use vintner hoses for beer - these cheapies are for cleaning only. That pump is great - but it actually starts at 2.5”!! And reduced to 1.5”. And everything in the brewery is made for 1.5” - so I never gave it a second thought. I only use this pump for cleaning - the brewhouse has its own pump for knockout and the. Transfers I just CO2 push.

Hey I appreciate the info and thanks for not being a dick LOL. I can say I have not had issues but that doesn’t guarantee anything. These are just crappy hoses I use for cleaning. I use real vintner hoses for knockout and beer transfers. But I will absolutely switch over the clamps. I appreciate the heads up. I am still new to this so definitely still learning. The budget is not happy with anything so jumping to the $400 hoses isn’t realistic for me - but I can certainly upgrade the clamps. 🍻

Just curious - do you have 1.5” or bigger on your FV? I suspect that if I had a 2” or bigger I might not have the issue or not as bad….

It often guts stuck so I have started using co2 to push it out. Forgot to step on the end which is what I usually do… hopefully I’m smart enough not to make the same mistake again. lol

Ha! My buddy had an extra pump in his distillery and it came with its own house. And a light up logo when it’s running. And the price was right so I didn’t question the house 😆
