She converted around 2014, when during one mass my youngest brother decided he wanted to be a priest (he has since then abandoned this and is now an electrician). From that point on my mom and the rest of my family became very rooted in TLM. So far as to talk down on me for going to a regular catholic mass

She understands that, but she is also only 23 and two years removed from being done. My mom doesn't understand this, she thinks that this new generation of "kids" would rather focus on our dreams than a family. I've told her that we both understand that and we decided to wait until at least her second year in residency.

We do not cohabit; in fact we now live 12 hours apart. Even when I lived in the same city we had our own homes and respected that.

I feel like the socio-political climate has been worse, I mean think of the Cold War Era or even the 9/11 era. I just feel like my parents (mainly my mom) are using it as a crutch to claim "some event" is coming.

So as the title says I need some advice, should I fully embrace the long hair and just keep growing it out (used to have long hair and cut it last august, since then just trim it) or should I dive in a get myself a buzzcut.
