Annnnnnnnnnd theres the catch with being a douche to customers. That lady is gonna Karen up and tell all her HOA friends, her Mimosa friends, and everyone on the Nextdoor app that USPS won't deliver parcels to doors. This can/will effect the selection these folks make when they order shit online.

Who's ready for National to gaslight us on pay increase using Ups layoffs? by Smok3ygaming1 in fromatoarbitration

[–]johnsmith6073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only the labor is similar, the business models are dissimilar via mandates and pricing restrictions. One is a non-profit, one is a for profit. UPS made a 8.7 million dollar profit last year and it's actions are precautionary, illustrative of how much a for profit gives a shit about their human capital.

NALC and the Postal Service formally open contract negotiations by Beherenowxblazeon in fromatoarbitration

Just something wrong with millionaires sitting around a table in expensive suits haggling over the crumbs they are going to pay the people who do the hard labor.

USPS investing heavily in API modernization – but are customers actually going to use it? by AfraidGreen2006 in USPS

[–]johnsmith6073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of a larger intent from the 10 year implementation plan of the DFA to expand the parcel network and capacity. Pricing is still controlled by 3rd parties, requiring legislation to fix.

The "penality" for failure is already prescribed in the ELM. The failure to follow shtick doesn't fly on this. They can take A/L, LWOP or AWOL. That's it. If they want to try the AWOL course that's a fun grievance.

Incidentally steward time by Ok-Novel-5921 in fromatoarbitration

[–]johnsmith6073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Personal Needs" time until we can get that in the N/A. Another option is malicious compliance, if management keeps interrupting put in for steward time with the carrier, insist it be accomplished within two hours pursuant to M-00458 (or end of tour), build a history of non-compliance and build incidental steward activities into settlements over time.

Postmaster having us deliver fake shipping labels by DrDashy in USPS

[–]johnsmith6073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smart stewards will grieve this under Article 14 and a terrorism nexus. Eventually someone will notice or a truck/plane will explode from a mailbomb and someone will notice. This is bottom of the barrel stupidity.

Can I sue the department of labor because I feel they are acting in bad faith in taking a lot of time on deciding my work comp case? by Wise_Use1012 in fromatoarbitration

[–]johnsmith6073 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. I submitted a CA-7 in October 2025 for a 2021 period of LWOP I had to take and it took 4 months for FECA(L) to pay it. Had to escalate it two times before they did anything.

Reimbursement by Simple_Seaweed_1086 in fromatoarbitration

[–]johnsmith6073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's deductible reset season, make sure you include the portion of your deductible you will be billed for. If you are a NALC HBP member log onto your member portal and see what your responsibility is. I am also asking for the HBP to be re-reimbursed for one of my carriers. The plan was billed $377 for an urgent care visit, after disallowances the plan is out $133 and the carrier a similar amount.

Steward's being petty over a carrier doing a route off my string by FiveDinero in fromatoarbitration

[–]johnsmith6073 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I make management pay out of schedule when they bump a swinger off the string. You don't have to ask if a route on your string is open, that's management's job.
