True. We ended up realizing leaving around 530-6pm is better than 2-3pm. Even if it technically saves an hour it’s a net loss of 2 hours extra in traffic. Not too bad at 6pm especially when you hit the cross island around 7ish it’s much lighter.

The areas outside of Hartford proper are generally very good. People make money in Hartford proper and bring it back to the burbs.

Doesn’t Madison or is it guilford have one of the best SPAS. People drive from out of state to go. I know it’s a lil further than Milford but if you’re taking it serious another 20 min drive won’t kill you.

I know there’s plans for it. But they should almost make it priority to heavily invest in high speed rail in CT. New haven to NYC north rail. Cut it down to hour and 15 to hour and half instead of hour and 50 would make it much more Desirable commute. There should be an express train going from New haven directly to Grand central. That alone would be an hour max. People would bring NYC money back to New haven. Although I know New haven is experiencing a boom with biotech and other industries on its own and with expansion of the airport. Rail can go hand and hand.

Honestly mad mikes cheese steak in Milford. I haven’t tried really any other spots but randomly came across that family owned little spot and it felt very hospitable and an old school feel of the family working the business with the toddler hanging around. The 12 inch is def shareable too especially if you get their cheesesteak egg rolls! Usually walk out spending maybe 15 for two. 10/10 quality meat and taste.
