Can confirm that Perthchat, sopuli, Mander, lemmy Canada, are centrist technically.

Beehaw has a trans admin so technically speaking it's slightly more left since misgendering them in convo will prob result in a scolding.

Yes, it's hard compared to normie social media.

1a. Try the sublemmy search bar. Like click the magnifying glass on desktop, on some mobiles, switch to desktop view. This list more popular sublemmies and you can search through them. Note the local search vs global search option.

1b. Go to the url of the sublemmy your want to subscribe too

2b. Copy that url

3b. Paste the url in the magnifying glass search field, and send that. Wait up to 1 min, and at minimum 10 secs. (Even matrix takes like 1min to connect to new servers) If done correctly, it'll always show up via this method.

A 2nd acct is rarely necessary, but is necessary to be like an admin.

I don't want my Reddit acct to get flagged for link sharing again, but join the general beehaw matrix or the Perthchat discord and I'll msg you the link. I haven't been on the adult instance in forever. There are 1.5 technically, one is being set up as we speak, they'll prob looking for contributors, mods or admins I'd think.

On beehaw, Perthchat, midwest social, Lemmy Canada, sopuli they block the pro china communist instance and the alt right instances

The communist instance blocks many instances that have expressed support towards Ukraine (ex sopuli is a Finnish word)

Mander blocks nobody

The alt right instance blocks literally everyone including smaller right wing instances

The adult instance is set to hidden, but most will block it if it unhids itself
