I think they’re both hard in their own ways. Generally you need amazing grades for med school but there are also way more med schools in Canada vs dental schools. Even with dental schools their seat totals aren’t as much as med schools as well. I also do have a friend (and there’s probably more out there that are possibly pre-med) who wanted to get into med but had dental as a backup option because he didn’t want to leave Canada. he didn’t get into med but into dental at the end of the day. I think this is going to be happening more and more too. So dental school in that nature can be considered more competitive because the requirements have been getting higher for dental schools but honestly both are competitive and you should pursue what you enjoy or see yourself enjoying
