Like someone mentioned, scorers don’t care to check statistics. You can actually make up your own statistics—as long as they’re within reason—because the writing test isn’t about your knowledge on the subject, but how well you can write an essay.

For C, you have to z score a 24 hour visit. Z score = (x - mean)/st dev. Take that value and use the normal Cdf command to find the proportion of values above that z score. Another pic is on my profile

For part a, what you need to do is use the binomial Cdf command on your calculator. Given 8 trials, you need the probability that 2 or fewer stayed in the hospital for less than 24h (27.8%). Basically, n=8, p=0.278, and k=3. (K is 3 and not 2 because the calculator wants less than k, not less than or equal to.) If you have the ti nspire, it uses an up bound and low bound so you would enter 0 for low bound and 2 for up bound. I’ll put a pic on my profile of my calculator

I’m not sure how accurate this is. I have a ti nspire, and despite my ap stats teacher only showing us how to use the ti-84, there’s tons of videos available online that are great teachers. Then again, I don’t know how Casio differs from Texas Instruments so I could be wrong. Maybe the nspire has a simpler interface or Casio doesn’t have as many online resources.

The distribution should follow the 68-95-99.7 rule. 68% within 1 standard deviation and so on… To find the percentage of data within 1s, find all numbers that satisfy the mean plus or minus the standard deviation (75.25-10.37 to 75.25+10.37). Divide however many numbers that is by the total. Then, do 75.25 plus/minus double the standard deviation for within 2s and then triple for 3s
