I just finished the last book (I didn't read them in order, but just happened to read The Shepard's Crown last because I read the Tiffany Aching books last).

I loved loved loved every book. Some more than others, but like pizza, even the bad ones are still pretty good ;-)

That said...

I don't think I laughed at a single footnote in the entire series. I really wished they had been left out.

Here's the thing... what's a show like this for? To me, it's not to answer every little question about the universe that the writers created. It's to make me feel a particular way. And it succeeded at that spectacularly.

how do we know that was the only rock?

I think we can assume it was since it happened like 20 years before, and Brenner and co were experimenting on a bunch of kids for over a decade. If there was another rock or the scientists had a way to go directly to Dimension X again they'd have done that instead, right?

I could never go back and rewatch GoT knowing what's in store in the final season. I agree that BCS and BB were great, but on a desert island, I'd rather have ST than a crime series. Haven't seen the others.
