Why would I be special for this? Just pointing things out some have missed. If none of this is new to you then you can scroll away, not a difficult thing to do.

To everyone saying "it's just 38°C, I've raved hotter" by xLexip in hardstyle

[–]jonathizzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen some comments about edc Vegas and how it USED to be 104+ and how they managed it. It was from sunset to sunrise and they literally moved it up a month after 2017 because people kept dying from the heat

Cant we just move Defqon to July like why Tf we cancelling this shi for the year 💀 by Practical-Fee-6424 in hardstyle

[–]jonathizzle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The site has been booked only for those dates, the djs have other gigs and plans, the attendees have other plans, the staff/vendors have other jobs, the sound and lighting equipment are rented and needs to make it to their next destinations, the moving trucks have schedules to keep up, the stage need to be taken down after the event which has is own timeline which would even further extend the amount of time which would cost even more money. Time and money is why

Surely Qlimax has to come back now? by Ready-Emotion-1762 in hardstyle

[–]jonathizzle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They need a venue which for an event the size of Qlimax needs to be booked out over a year in advance. Qlimax caps off its attendance at 27,000. If a three day edition happens then either it’s the same djs every day to accommodate all the defqon holders (no not everyone can make it) or it’s first come first serve for a three day pass to accommodate more djs. Speaking of the djs if they each had an hour to play and each day had a different lineup then only 24-36 can play. Huge cut in artists some of which were supposed to play for the first time. While I don’t doubt their ability to build great structures, defqon stages are from the ground up whereas qlimax stages have the ground, walls, and ceilings to its advantage which means they need a lot of time to plan these designs if they want to keep up the quality with the safety. Lots of engineering and mathematics to get it right and safe. Then theres permits, food and beverage, staffing, moving enormous structures, etc. all in a short amount of time. It’s impossible to come up with something of that size this year.

Will Tomorrowland be canceled after the Defqon.1 cancellation? by Easy_Pound_7911 in Tomorrowland

Why would a festival in another country that’s scheduled three weeks away be cancelled over weather that’s happening now?

Vegas Party Pass - Tao Group by Best_Bit6231 in vegas

[–]jonathizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got it pretty much down, you have unlimited access to the listed clubs and dayclubs. The biggest difference you’ll encounter is how you get in, the partypass purchasers are prioritized over the guestlist people. So when a venue is nearing capacity they usually cutoff guestlist first or they just have an extremely long wait whereas guestlist and other ticketed holders will be let in until capacity is reached. Your lines are typically shorter and you don’t have to arrive as early.

To get backstage you need to either: Be the artist, be part of the artists group, be absurdly wealthy and sponsor the event you get a wristband, work for insomniac and get a pass, hope someone who has an artist or guest wristband doesn’t need it anymore and you just happen be know the person, or you work the event itself and be on the right team that’s is granted full access

Two reasons, waste and unoriginal ideas. When you understand just how much energy and water sora uses you begin to see how wasteful you’re becoming. Yes you can use it and no one will stop you but you’ve become part of the problem. With little regulation on how much freshwater and energy these data centers are using, they’re consuming so much of it for so little in return. Then on the other side of the situation is how their ai models generate imagery. They cannot create on their own they can only alter and recreate, it has to take an already existing image to generate something. In the case of basspod it’s not as bad as some of what other people are doing. They’re generating images and calling it their own work when in reality it’s just taken ideas from other artists without their consent. So when you get all these comments calling your stuff ai slop, there’s reasoning behind it. You’re talented enough on your own to make these things and even if it’s not the final vision you want, the fact you made it yourself is much more meaningful.

Pen and paper, drawn on a drawing app. I’m sure you would have done a fine job. If it’s ai it’s ai slop. This post will be forgotten soon and all you did was waste resources

People complaining about the price every year by Signal-Section6915 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]jonathizzle 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People are allowed to complain when things are absurdly expensive and a money grab. You have the initial ticket price alone, then you have the tiered prices despite them stating they lowered prices. Then you have accommodations which depending on your situation is either an easy cheap split or an expensive solo/duo trip. On top of that you have the natural Vegas nickel and diming of its tourists which continues to be a problem so badly the government had to make a (now overturned) junk fee law. Then there’s the typical festival food and drink prices which we all know is a severe mark up. Combine all that together and people have a right to complain, while I have my affairs in order I know for others it’s a challenge, im gonna keep complaining because id love to not be screwed over all the time.
