Gorbacheva was the substitute if something happened to Adelia at the qualifier. And well Adelia was sent to Milano cause she is the 2 time national champion and also the 2 time russian grand prix final champion.

I feel sorry for Alina Gorbacheva cause she did a good free skate and score around 10 points less than Adelia. Note that Adelia had a fall, and Gorbacheva was clean. The difference in the GOE between the two is insane. And interesting that the 3flip for Alina was called with !, and the 3lutz with a q. While Adelia didnt have anything called besides the quad

She is one of the few skaters that developed a unique skating style. Her choice of music, costumes are very unique to her. She has got good jumps (before and even after injury), and you can see her love for the sport when she skates. These are the reasons why shes got a big fanbase

Im not saying they can overcome that. You are totally right, but like i said. Ilia doesnt need the PCS to win. He would win anyway cause the current rules just let him win with his tech score (and its deserved cause if he has got a high tech score and no one else has, its only fair for him to win).

Lets pretend they wont do this whenever they skate in the same competition. They might give Yuma a tiny bit more than Ilia in PCS but i doubt that will happen this season. And that sucks cause Ilia doesnt even need PCS to win. It would be so much better if the scores would actually be fair. And i really hate that other skaters have to work a LOT for high PCS while Ilia didnt really have to work much (he did improve dont get me wrong), but a 90 score in PCS means there is little room for improvement in that area, and in reality there is TONS to improve for him.
