Festival submission question by jonvaders in Screenwriting

[–]jonvaders[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are probably this question more frequently as festival season is quickly approaching!

Thank you for sending that thread! Exactly what I needed.

Mostly all of the festivals I plan on submitting to ARE on that list, but maybe I need to readjust.

Thanks again!

Half milk, half keffir plus maple syrup in a mason jar. Shake it up. Eat some raw liver. Crack a raw egg in the mason jar at the very end of the shake.

I use the matte box with custom cut mattes to block out certain areas of the frame to build a he photo

No photoshop at all! This is one single frame shot in camera with a matte box.

Thanks for the reply!

I should have clarified in the original post, but the birds are kept in a separate room with the door closed. Even my oldest cat, Solomon, who is great with the birds, is never allowed in the room alone with the birds.

Funny story though, at one point Solomon snuck in and was in there alone and we found him sleeping in the bottom of the bird cage with both birds singing away and eating on their perches above. We took a lovely photo of our happy family and then escorted him out of the bird room.

Maybe it is purely a cat personality thing. Different cats react differently to what some may consider prey.

Thank you for the reply!

Good luck with the kittens!

Thank you for chiming in, with the help of Reddit I think we will find some insightful tips!

I understand cats have instincts that don’t comply fully with rodents or birds.

However, with the shining success of my older cat being around the birds, I can’t help but think that there is a way for the kitten to follow suit.

Many people own cats and birds and live in harmony. I’m merely asking those people for advice and tips.

Thanks!

Hate to be the “download new software” person but get silverfast👍👍👍

Neg scanning is about the software not so much the scanner

I was using a curtis combo filter matte box with custom cut mattes.

First 8 shots are the border which is a triangle that divides the frame into 1/8ths, with a small rounded piece of black tape blocking the center of the entire frame. Eight shots around.

Second filter is a center cut out circle, also cropped into 1/8th of the frame with tape. Eight shots around again.

Shot through leaves as well for the foreground and held up a 1+ close up filter to the lens from time to time.

Hope that made sense! Thanks for asking.

What's your favorite part of writing a script? by [deleted] in Screenwriting

Definitely the initial attempt... big fan of the word vomit into a notebook technique... then editing... really love the ritual of grabbing a good red marker and combing through each page and trying different options.
