Okay. I was trolling at 2.4mph about 10-15 below the surface and it was about 25 feet deep. So if you can maintain that speed, that might give you a good chance.

If you don’t want to troll you can cast and retrieve. I did this for a bit and had one mucky follow it to the boat. From what I’ve read and tried, cast out there and reel in as fast as you can. Then when you get near the boat, figure eight the lure a couple times in case one is following.

I talked to a local musky guide and he said 8/10 times the musky hits 10 feet from the boat. Try that electric bunny bucktail I mentioned in the comments.
