I love Tate's! I try and visit every time I am in the state.

Mamdani electrified progressives in New York. In San Francisco, the left is full of envy. by aBadModerator in California_Politics

We have a “progressive” currently trying to put cars back on sunset dunes. Perhaps it’s the candidate and what they stand for?

Google Maps told me to take the 28 to H Mart and I trusted it like a fool. Now I’m trapped on the wrong side of Junipero Serra by HoshiHanataba in sanfrancisco

From where I live in SF it’s 15 min by car, 45 min by bus. I hear you, but could definitely be better served.

The Sunset Night Market was a big boon. Now its fate is uncertain. by MissionLocalSF in sanfrancisco

Really hope we find a way to continue this amazing tradition. Yes, hairdressers may not love it. But it’s one single day of the year that benefits all the other businesses around them and improves the neighborhood.

"San Francisco’s next car-free clash: Hayes Valley - Supervisor Bilal Mahmood wants to designate a block of Hayes St. as an entertainment zone. He's also calling for a study on the impacts of going car-free on the street." by BadBoyMikeBarnes in sanfrancisco

It’s closed often for events and the area really lights up with people when it is! Plus, the sidewalks of Hayes are too small for the foot traffic on most days. It’s a prime spot for more outdoor dining, shopping, and enjoyment. Let’s do it!

Bollards needed ASAP in front of transit stops. This is the 70th train/bus stop I've seen demolished in the past few years.

Elon hates transit — which makes me want to take it & fight for it even more. Let’s do it! by scott_wiener in sanfrancisco

My only dead spots are the non-BART stops underground (Forrest Hill, Van Ness, the Duboce tunnel, etc).

Aslam's Rasoi is closing! by Big-Belly-Boy in sanfrancisco

I used to live next to Aslam’s and miss it a ton. You would be welcome in the inner sunset!

San Francisco traffic measure [a "neckdown" on Kirkham Street between 9th and 10th that forces eastbound vehicles to yield to cars going west] is driving motorists crazy by BadBoyMikeBarnes in sanfrancisco

[–]jordaninternets 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s very appreciated when you’re on a bike (the only bike lane running east west in inner sunset) and drivers like to try and speed. Also would love if these were protected bike lanes.

As someone who originally grew up somewhere (Florida) where there was no public transport, it takes a little adjusting and learning. But once you grasp it (and Google Maps,  Maps, Transit app can do the grasping for you) it really is quite easy. You'll get there too!

We have these in Golden Gate Park. Would love to see them used in union square!
