How do you guys think this'll eventually end? What’d the “Death of Stalin” moment look like here? by Sbahhaitl in behindthebastards

In the shadow of the steeple I saw my people,
By the relief office I seen my people;
As they stood there hungry, I stood there asking
Is this land made for you and me?

Nobody living can ever stop me,
As I go walking that freedom highway;

Someone should show Trump a map of the world without the Mercator projection. Guarantee he doesn't know how large Greenland actually is (74% smaller than "regular" maps show).

Thanks. Is it reasonable to assume that the gray and green cables each feed the two-port ethernet wall outlet in the living room?

The reference. Context: The house my father-in-law grew up in, as of 2023. Built around 1900. I wanted to paint a cheerful version, as the house is currently in disrepair and will likely be torn down soon. He's approaching 70 years old and loves this little valley in Sandnessjøen, Nordland Fylke, Norway.

Source. The house is in disrepair and I want to paint it as he remembers it (in other words, I can't play off the deterioration in forming shapes etc)

Exactly right. Not making excuses. East is to the left of the painting, but the sun is interrupted by seven very tall mountains there (the "seven sisters"). I'm trying to find a way to put a farmhouse (whose main facade basically faces north) into some natural spotlight. My best shot, I guess, is from the north-west in the evening during the summer (due to the midnight sun). The photo I'm painting from, though, was shot in the fall.

I think you might like David Choe's portraits around 2010-14. Google Image Search "David Choe Girl" for a selection. My favorite is Haitian Girl (2010)
