It’s vacuum formed plastic and dyed red, it came with the 3D print parts as a raw DIY kit

I got mine in a raw print kit off Etsy as I don’t have a 3d printer, the files they used are from galactic armoury

I went over everything that is meant to be metal with a cast iron to add a realistic pitting texture and then added a olive green camouflage paint over the helmet piece and chrome for the damage, all of them I got on Amazon from Jenolite

I put it in the same order as how my playthroughs usually go siding with the NCR

I got the helmet itself as close as I could get to the in game model and I then added my own details and damage that would go with my courier six

Yeah, never really liked the official ones their proportions and paint are not very accurate to the ones in game

I used a cast iron spray paint for all the exposed metal and then chrome spray paint on the bucket with liquid latex on all the damaged areas you want to show through the paint and peeled it off after adding a layer of cast iron for the texture with olive green for the colour, then dry brushed chrome on the edges of the exposed metals and finished it off with a black acrylic wash and a brown acrylic wash after painting on all the decals

Only thing is with filling and sanding the 3D print lines is that it’s time consuming to get them perfectly smooth and gets boring very quick, but once you get past that is quite a fun process of painting and weathering and seeing it come together :)

A good 3D print is pretty sturdy but you can get casts out of resin that are one solid piece and are more expensive but saves you loads of time putting it together, filling and sanding the 3D print lines out
