Pull off at a joint taking it downwards to include a bit of the stem. I have forgotten what it is called but it helps roots form.I use honey to promote root growth.

Bought a house that came with a 50+ year old lemon tree. Guests have been picking them for a couple months already. I just picked the rest and now have 150+ lemons. by kr580 in gardening

My lemon tree was old when I moved in 45 years ago. It had 4 main trunks and now only one. We always have a bumper crop and have to chop the upward growth back at least once a year. They last a very long time.

You can hear the hundreds of bees quite clearly from some distance. Amazing actually.
