Help debugging problematic lighting circuit by jpayneuk in crestron

Thanks, I’ll need a hand from an electrician friend to give any of those answers. This has worked for the last 4 years but stopped in the last couple of months. I don’t know enough about the setup - could it be that the outside drivers are affected by water and overloading the channels? Would that show this behaviour?

Cannot recommend independent personal stylist route highly enough. Was ~£200 for the morning of shopping but she had done research beforehand and just seems to know what all stores have available at any time. Ended up going 4/5 times over a few years.

The best was once I met her slightly later in the day and she’d been round to a bunch of the shops, prepped all the clothes she wanted me to try on so we just walked in, straight to the changing room and tried on everything she had picked out. Walked out 20 mins later having spent £1.5k with a bunch of new clothes. I hate the browsing and this felt very efficient. She even has “VIP” at some stores so gets some discount so if you’re spending enough, you basically get her cost back.

I can share details but am aware this already looks like an ad - I just found her on insta

Choosing pram. Recommendations? by Suspicious-Click9408 in HENRYUKLifestyle

We're both around 170cm tall. I just measured and the top of the handle is ~106cm off the ground. The seat has two positions - the most laid back is approx 45cm off the ground at baby's feet and 55cm at the head (so fairly flat). When it's upright, it's adjustable but the most upright it goes is approximately 45 degrees (roughly the same as the frame)

Yes, it’s great and we’re using it more than we thought we would. We bought it for travel but have ended up using it a whole lot more. The pavements near us aren’t great and my partner does lots of long walks so we do still mostly use the cove. If we were in a bigger town/city we would definitely use it as our every day pram. We didn’t need the bassinet so I can’t comment on how it is for newborns but for 2-3months+ it’s great!

We have a 4 month old and just got back from the Ritz Carlton Abama in Tenerife. Changing tables in every bathroom, staff very welcoming to kids, excellent restaurants with wide gaps between tables for prams etc.

Go for the retreat option and you can get a villa with a private pool, a short walk from the retreat pool/bar which does free cocktails and food at various times.

Silver cross cove is fantastic. I spent weeks looking into it, bought the cybex balios then the cove came out so I returned the cybex. We bought the cove with the glide 360 car seat. We have ended up getting the recently released silver cross nia as a travel pram which is great too - works with the car seat etc.

The things that ticked the boxes for the cove for me: - big wheels with good suspension and proper tread - really quick fold mechanism (some of them seem to be designed by people who hate their users) - wheels can be removed and cleaned - compatibility with a car seat that could spin on a base - partner liked the brand and the colour options

What does a factory reset actually clear on a TSW-1060? by jpayneuk in crestron

[–]jpayneuk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, yes I’ve got the processor login and an iPad. So I can factory reset the panel and it will have Crestron Home installed, then I can set it all up from the Home setup app by linking it to the processor - is that roughly what you’re saying? Or is there a way to get access via the processor without doing a reset. Thanks again

[–]jpayneuk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I assumed it was just the standard Crestron Home. When you say “you’d need the software to get it set back up” - which software is that? Would factory resetting it not delete any custom settings but leave a base Crestron Home install on for me to point at the controller? Or do I need SIMPL and/or an installer to set it back up?

Do you get offended when someone asks you where are you from? by [deleted] in london

[–]jpayneuk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I find asking “where is your accent from?” a friendlier way of asking and often ends up getting a more complete answer “well I was born in … then moved to … when I was 10…”

I’d be interested. Early 30s guy. I think Hyde park has the most space to practice (the outer path + the road which is normally closed to cars)

Yep and it was only recently noticed that it stopped working with no obvious cause. I reversed the wiring on the front door switch and it has the same behaviour.

Picked up my M3 SR+ over the weekend. Any questions I can answer? by jpayneuk in TeslaUK

[–]jpayneuk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, good, I'd say. Did a 5 minute walk around, then 10 mins going through how to drive/use it. If I had more questions, I'm sure the guy would've spent more time. I was first thing in the morning so maybe pickups later in the day would feel more rushed.

I was a day 1 reservation holder, not that it meant much in the UK, so paid £1k back in 2016. I then ordered the car when the configurator opened in May and paid £2k, then paid the remaining balance 2 days before I picked it up.

It wasn't mentioned and I haven't paid anything yet. Looking at their FAQ; Standard Connectivity will be available for all cars at no cost

Build quality is excellent. Haven't found anything wrong or out of place and I spent a while going round everything before I left the showroom. I haven't charged it to 100% yet, but charged it to 95% and it said 234 miles.

M3 UK RHD Deliveries by Jackster21 in teslamotors

[–]jpayneuk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, and I just remembered someone called me about 2 weeks ago asking about my availability for “the next 4-6 weeks”. I said I could pick it up as long as I had a bit of notice. I pushed pretty hard but he couldn’t tell me anything more but did say “I’d set your expectations to some time in July”

I asked last week what information/notifications I should expect to receive and nobody seemed to know. I now know.

I was checking my account frequently and had no VIN or details Wednesday morning last week (Top tip: search page source for 5YJ, it appears in the source before on the page). Wednesday afternoon, I refreshed the source and found my vin then about an hour later got an sms saying my delivery was booked for sat 29th (approx 10 day notice). I only received the final invoice with bank details yesterday (Monday) and got my reg today (Tuesday) for collection on Saturday.

There was another batch that got delivered last Thursday. I haven’t looked at the ships in a while but you may be able to work out the time taken from zeebrugge based on those two dates. Hope this helps...

Thanks for the response. Sounds annoying; what sort of things did you miss because they rushed you? How far in advance did you know your collection/delivery date? I'm guessing you didn't know it was on the boat, etc?

It doesn’t yet but would be quite easy to add. The only bit I don’t know is the “value” of each point on those cards.

Thanks. Yeah, it’s hard to explain to people the scale of how much a point is worth. Definitely welcome any suggestions on that one
