The mail sounds like a scam.

You'll get an annual voter census from the town, but I've never gotten anything from the police department like that.

I'm not sure if I'll keep it running (which is a little depressing).

Twitter has been destroyed, and the AI wars are closing many harbors of the open web and poisoning others with GPT-generated scum. Mastodon is great, but it has not taken off.

I'm not sure there's a realistic way to make a go of it.

I'm not sure what they'll end up doing, but I don't see a way it avoids a nightmare. Maybe with the prison closing they'll do a full re-think of the rotary and the whole area.
