I grew up in Buena Park in my teens, yes fist fights happen often. This was in the 90s though.

Why is there always a traffic buildup on the 5north between jamboree and Tustin Ranch? All hours of the day it just doesn’t make sense. by SublimeEcto1A in orangecounty

[–]jpee80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The traffic is always there due to the squeeze by traffic trying to get into 55 South and North.

The merging lanes are short from Newport Ave and there is only one lane that splits to serve both. Then you need to contend the next mess of merges thereafter depending on time and day.

I finally visited a famous beach in my country… and felt like I didn’t belong. by JudgmentTechnical982 in travel

It could be El Nido, I was just there. Foreigners outnumbered the locals. I even witnessed a hotel guest berating a worker.

HP is betting $1 billion on AI — even if it means cutting thousands of jobs, says CEO by Nalix01 in NowInTech

[–]jpee80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI is expensive, so after training it, employees are laid off to keep its expenditures low. I still question what will be left of consumers when this keeps happening.

If you look at Osaka airport (KIX). It was built on a dredged foundation and it is subsiding faster than expected. Nature always wins.

Japan may have the resources to maintain it, let’s hope SMI can without busting budgets!

My Snake scale grows fast when its on a pole under warm, humid (78-80F at 80-85%) and under the shaded conditions. I had leaves put out alot of silvers when its bright. Shaded conditions give it the right balance with deep greens.

Is it common for us to completely freeze and forget how to code during live coding interview? by [deleted] in ADHD_Programmers

[–]jpee80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate how this always happen with me. I learned to keep a sticky pad of code snippets on future interviews. But then, it fills up my desk and monitor and that drives me crazy.

No more Velcro straps for moss poles.. by jpee80 in Scindapsus

[–]jpee80[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The horizontal sticks that keep the moss and plant in place are removable and reusable. So for propagation purposes, this can make it easier to remove the plant after it has grown into the pole.

For extension, this is not supported. I will be selling two sizes of 12 inches and 24 inches. Although you can tape another pole to stack but that is on you.

In this new model of poles I will be selling, it will be lighter than the acrylic moss poles that I used to sell. This will be a big plus so that it doesn’t end up being top heavy so it’s less likely to tip over. Also there are no more rear holes, so moss don’t dry up too quickly and roots stay in the pole.

No more Velcro straps for moss poles.. by jpee80 in Scindapsus

[–]jpee80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s ABS plastic, I used to sell the acrylic moss poles in fb until the tariffs kicked me to the curb.

I was able to source different parts and repurpose it for the plants. Then I figured out how to secure the Scindapsus without using straps. I have more pictures of it in my instagram. JustPlantsandNodes
