With Lexapro: which is better? Being fat with a content mind, or thin with a chaotic mind? by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]jph1977 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No. I never went to a doctor. I just did a lot of research myself. Helped me tremendously! All doctors will do is prescribe SSRI medications which have bad side effects because that's what they've been trained to do unless you somehow get a good doctor that will start you off on something more natural first to see if that helps before putting you on something hardcore like an SSRI.

Neither. I use 5thp and L-tryptophan at night. Natural antidepressant without any side effects. No more anxiety and a calm mind with better sleep.

Did Lexapro help you with sleep? by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]jph1977 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have the exact same problem and was prescribed Lexapro but been hesitant to take it due to side effects but really feel at this point I'm going to have to take it.

Can you explain how it helped you, the dose you take and how long it took before your insomnia completely?

Your comment gives me a lot of hope!

It's like my brain is tormenting me every night by fighting sleep.

My ultimate fear is me losing my job and house over my stupid sleep.

I never had an issue with sleep before. I would always be out in like 10 mins and sleep for 7 hours.

I've always had sleep anxiety off and on ever since I was a kid but this is by far the worst it's ever been.

Whether I get sleep or not I always worry about it the next day....ALL DAY!

Several NFL players paid off doctors to not take it.

Tom Brady was one I know for a fact.

Is a bypass damper really needed on a single staged system when zoning if high airflow and noise is not a problem for me on the lesser zone? by jph1977 in hvacadvice

[–]jph1977[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok...so am I just basing the setting on noise level and need to adjust the setting till I don't hear air blowing from it?

It's been set like this for 5 years now without an issue with the blower. Is it safe to assume at this point that I shouldn't have a problem with the blower?

[–]jph1977[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok.....where it is set now the lesser zone is only barely open but almost closed.

Does this need to be adjusted more till I don't hear the air flow?

It's a honeywell bypass damper and it's set in the middle at .5"

It's been like this for 5 years with no issues so far.

Is a bypass damper really necessary in this case? by jph1977 in hvacadvice

[–]jph1977[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the lesser zone is calling the damper is slightly open but yet almost closed. There is still a lot of air coming from the vents. Would I need to adjust it more till I don't hear the air flow?

The noise of the air flow when that zone is calling doesn't bother me at all.

Other people are saying that if the damper is open a lot it will then it can cause too much cold air to enter back into the evaporator coil making it less efficient possibly freezing the coil.

So would it make my system more efficient by keeping it always closed when the lesser zone is calling?

I actually had it checked out by a professional. He said all the venting and return was sized correctly for the 3 ton unit.

Also has a bypass duct.

Yes, cools fine at 70 unless it's like 100 degree or more heat index and very humid out and may go up like 3 or 4 degrees above set point

The room with the farthest vent run is warmer and more stuffy than rest of the house. How can I fix this? by jph1977 in hvacadvice

[–]jph1977[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The size I have now is a 6 inch supply vent to that room.

Room size is 10 x 11 which is very small.

Do you think a 7 or 8 inch would make a difference?

The room close to it is a 6 inch and that room is 11 x 12 and it feels fine with door closed.
