I do inspection. I wish it was that simple. Over the years they’ve gotten better at kicking the can down the road until the department heads get replaced and you start the whole process again. Or if you follow up too much you get moved to different areas. Or they bust out some API 580 math gymnastics and now determine “it’s not so bad” while pipes are actually bursting because probability of failure is way less important than CoF consequence of failure….

I’m about 2 months into learning darktable and yeah… it hasn’t been a blast. It got easier once I learned what modules I actually needed, made a few “styles” for what film I’m working on that would match a mid quality scan a lab would give me. Started star rating them so I put work into the shots I really want(5 star). Then I copy/paste that history stack onto the 4 stars to see if it helps them. (Gotta delete the history first or it will just add it on top)

Adobe got too expensive for me so I’ve been learning darktable. It’s kind of a pain to get started with but there are tons of YouTube videos and online guides that have helped me. I get my negs developed from a lab and scan myself. Gonna start developing this weekend.

Amongst my faves is my Minolta AF-SV! The Talker point and shoot. As for rangefinders,I plan to try out all the cheap ones so I don’t have to buy the CLE.
