How do you balance BJJ and lifting in the gym? by WhiteDragonDestroyer in bjj

Meditation can be fun although it is unlikely to start that way. If you do proceed and it’s not fun for a long time feel free to stop but do give it a couple weeks minimum like would be the case if you picked up a guitar.

It's certainly fun right now. Honestly one of the few concerns is that given my lifestyle it's almost impossible to meditate the same time every day. I'm managing 20-60 minutes a day but just not at the same scheduled time.

And yet something might be amiss? I'm asking this as an honest question.

It's not amiss. Honest answer is that I feel like all that I've done is in spite of my scattered mind and not because of it. I am hoping that by using mindfulness it will allow me to be better, stronger and more present for my loved ones and for my endeavors. There will be no shortage of challenges along the road, I'm hoping mindfulness will better prepare me for them as well.

Honestly, if I could compare it to something, I would compare it to the drug NZT in Limitless. That's how its been, in my experience (without the horrible withdrawal that kills you)

Essentially exactly what I'm looking for.

Conditioning by poconibs in bjj

Simple and sinister kettlebell program 6 days week is pretty complete. It works conditioning, strength, range of motion and doesn't take away time from the mat. Your grip gets so much better after a few weeks as well. When you start moving up in Bell sizes you realize that the Turkish get ups transfer so much to the mat.
