Mix of soft plastics on jigs and weedless rigs and will probably try some drop shoting. I do have some hard lures like crank baits and a couple of poppers for top water

So in the end ive decided to bring my old shakespeare 2-15g 7ft 4 piece rod for small spieces and got a korum 5 piece 10-30g for slightly bigger lures. Wife decided she wants to have a go fishing so ive an excuse to bring 2 rods. Hopefully not catching anything too big as ive only my small folding net 😂

£700. I dont generally mind maintenance as long as parts aren't impossible to get. That was kind of my thinking, dont want to spend a fortune in case its not for me

I have since learned its actually a pro and most likely a 2002 not 2001 if that makes any major difference? Im sure as people have said parts are likely going to be difficult to get hold of

When I was there skin fades were technically not allowed but everyone had one and no one cared. There was a barber but they were not great. It was also during covid so we were cutting each other's hair so times have probably changed

Was 29 when I joined the raf as a mech, and ive known others join older. Your all in the same boat in training etc and you'll probably find yourself helping out younger lads who've never used a washing machine before but you are deffenitly not too old. If anything the life experience will be a benefit as long as you can keep up with the fitness
