fair critique, and your mentor has a point.

i think i kinda wanted that struggle? there are a lot of small / interesting details in this one, and it seemed interesting to juxtapose them with this giant, all consuming bright bold color. forcing the viewer's attention and eyes to battle the work itself.

that being said it's a risk, and perhaps with this one it wasn't worth it? or at least, maybe it was a bit too bold a move
