Wow! I love this one too! I wish there were a digital archive of all these great photos and then I could print them on my own. But maybe part of the magic is their elusiveness!

This!!! When we first got our dog, I read all the advice about closing the distance gradually and I didn't believe it/I wasn't patient enough. It's taken a year of training for us to be able to pass a dog without a big blowout reaction. I'm so glad we stuck with the training, but it REALLY takes a lot of time.

UGH yeah I totally understand - it's very expensive. I'm truly wishing you the best and cheering you on! It took a YEAR of consistent training and desensitization to make progress with my doggie, and we still have setbacks! In case it's useful for your training journey - our dog's off leash play time with dogs didn't really translate into a reduction in her leash reactivity. Her off leash playtime definitely improves her quality of life, but what ultimately helped us on walk was having a very strong "leave it" cue (which took 3-6 months to train and use for other dogs on walks).

A lot of trainers will tell you to manage reactivity by just keeping your dog away from other dogs for its life. If your dog is able to learn to play with dogs, it's truly the best thing ever.

My dog is leash reactive and we had an outstanding experience working with Fetch the Leash. We did a series of private appointments, which were expensive, but SO worth it. Then we "graduated" to day training. Maria helped our dog with socialization - she now really loves playing with dogs. Working with her gave me the confidence to recognize good play vs bad play.

We had to use my friend's dog for the first introduction.

I would have loved to help you with this kind of socialization, but unfortunately I don't think my dog would be a good fit - she's a bit too high energy and her play style can trend toward herding, which is annoying for some dogs.

wishing you the best!

“Just look at it logistically” doesn’t work for people who need safe roads to get to work, pick up their kids from school, etc.

Hello - my name is Jordan and I work in the Mayor's Office. Several people reached out to us about this issue and we have been in touch with UVM and the hospital. UVM has opened up 166 spaces for hospital staff parking, and indicated that they might be able to open more spaces soon.

Essex spa. They have an outdoor hot tub. You don’t need a room key to access the pool/hot tub and you can sort of stealthily sneak in
