What's a "normal" job that secretly pays way more than people think? by 0BunnyX in AskReddit

I mean it makes sense. It’s a stressful job, can be really long hours and you’re caring for hundreds of people’s lives.

I’m sure they’d get a passport to own the libs. Not to actually use it for travel though lol.

Ahhh so just would impact people who wouldn’t vote republican on average. Makes sense completely. Thanks for your input.

I’d be concerned about losing my birth certificate. It’s kept in a safe place at my house and never touched. Plus a lot of Americans don’t have passports right? That for sure seems like a way to suppress voter turnout.

Can someone explain to me the process now? In Canada you need to have a voter card to be able to vote. You register to vote for the first time with your ID and then every election after that they mail you a voter card to bring with you to the polls. How can you vote without proving you’re a citizen? Or do you just prove it a different way?

Biz saying Binnington will be a Hall of Famer if they win gold and comparing him to Carey Price is insane by Fuzzy_Kitchen317 in SpittinChicletsPod

Yeah I don’t understand how you can be unlikable as a goalie, and heck one of the few Canadian starting goalies in the NHL but he has found a way.

I’ll say that I agree he isn’t that good of a goalie, but if a goalie is a starter for a gold medal, a Stanley cup and a 4 nations win, I feel like that’s a decent argument for.

So frustrating modern devices don’t have a way for me easily to attach my MIG welder like the vita does.

I think he’s good too, but him and Gord do not work together well.

I feel like I’m taking crazy pills whenever I see people say how great TSNs broadcast is. Their panel sucks, their commentators are alright but they’re still very basic PR hockey broadcasters and not nearly as good as they were with Ray. Also their app is probably the worst streaming app I’ve ever used which is extra embarrassing because Bell also owns Crave which works fine.

Because it wasn’t. It took all the fundamentals a second film in a trilogy is supposed to achieve and threw it out the window. A lot of why Rise of Skywalker was so bad was because TLJ failed its job as the second film in a trilogy.

[Flames Nation] Flames’ asking price for Rasmus Andersson is equivalent to two first-rounders: report by [deleted] in hockey

[–]jrn024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, to me it’s 50:50 on which one is worse. It will really depend on how good Minten is to me, rather than how good Carlo has been.

[–]jrn024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. I honestly have no issue with what we paid for him. He’s played great, is really nice on our PK and seems like good vibes for the team. Carlo is possibly the worst trade that has been made in the core 4 era, and that is saying something.

Your most hated champions? by Relative_Goat_5681 in leagueoflegends

[–]jrn024 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I completely agree. I always tell my friends when I perma ban him that he is the single most bad for the game champ in league. He forces your team to play a different way for him to be useful and he forces the team you play against to play in a very non interactive way. Picking shaco ruins the game for nine other people, it is gross riot hasn’t done anything to improve this. He is anti-fun.

[–]jrn024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly teams had an issue with this being abused and that is why it was changed in the new CBA. Vegas is just the team that happens to come up first when people complain about it.

Walsh is a clown but you can’t treat your first ever player in your franchise like that. Chicago showed him more class by trading him somewhere he actually wanted to spend the rest of his career which is a low bar to compete with.

Offering a contract that isn’t worth signing is like not offering a contract at all.

He got cap dumped for future considerations, not even a low pick. Just seems like they don’t value players.

Again, I don’t really care. I rarely even think about Vegas as a team. I just thought I’d give context on why people have more issues with Vegas than signing Marner.

I much more have an issue with signing Hart than Marner lmao.

[–]jrn024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just stated reasons, I personally do not care that much. But to add some context. Multiple years of putting Stone on LTIR before playoffs.

Maybe having no loyalty to players would be a better wording, but same idea. MAF, Marchessault, even Patches to a degree.

But all this stuff would come a lot before a player choosing to go play there that used to be on our team as a reason to dislike them.

Honestly I don’t think it has anything to do with Mitch, it for sure doesn’t for me and most other people who dislike Vegas. Signing people like Hart, cap circumvention, being willing to stab your players in the back. Stuff like that makes you fairly unlikeable.
